The next Performing Arts Boosters Meeting is Tuesday, October 1st at 6:30 p.m. in the old chorus room. Our main points of discussion will be our October schedule & fundraisers. Documents for SCRIP & the Playbill will be posted shortly. Hope to see you at the meeting!

Our first game is this Friday! Students should be at school for 4:30 p.m. - Game is at 6:00 p.m.
Parents we need your help in the following areas: 1. At School - 3-4 parents to assist the students with uniforms and getting ready. Help with room clean-up and organization; Be sure students have all instruments, gear and uniforms (hats, gloves, black socks, reeds, etc.). Fran Fogarty & Elilse Robie will be there to assist with uniforms. 2. Pit Crew - Steve Noxon is our truck driver for our games! We need 3-4 additional parents to help our students load instruments and gear onto the truck at the school (begin at 4:45 p.m.); unload the truck at the game; load the truck at the end of the game; and unload the truck at the end of the evening back at Platt. Pit Crew T-shirts are coming! 3. Bandstand Parents/Chaperones - 3-4 parents who will sit in close proximity to the students in the bleachers to help keep order and focus. And for support! Also, one parent needed to ride to bus with Mrs. Boates (and remember first aid kit). 4. Spirit Wear Sales - 2 parents to help sell spirit wear at the game. Right now we have Seat Cushions & Pom Poms. Rally Towels are on order. We need your help at all games: 9/13, 9/20, 10/11, 11/1, 11/8 & 11/28 (Thanksgiving Day). Please attend the first Performing Arts Boosters' Meeting on Thursday, September 5, 2013 at 6:30 p.m. in Mrs. Boates' Room. The first meeting is filled with information about the upcoming year.
Band Camp will begin August 15 & 16 for select students and August 19-23 for all band members!
On Monday, August 19th from 5:00 - 7:00 pm, we will be hosting a welcome picnic for students and parents! Please consider joining us for a relaxed evening as we welcome new members and welcome back returning students and parents. We will have tables and chairs set up, but feel free to bring a chair and/or blanket if you'd like. Volunteers will be needed to help set up and break down the table and chairs, and we will need one or two g The Boosters will be providing the food for grilling: hot dogs, hamburgers, vegetarian options. Please consider bringing a dessert, side dish, or salad to share. RSVP by Friday, August 16th to [email protected] or [email protected] Hope to see you there! Please join us for the final Booster Meeting of the year on Wednesday, June 12th, at 6:30 p.m. in the Band Room. We will offer a wrap-up of the year and discuss plans for 2013-14.
