Mvt. 3 drill was posted on Sunday to our *2013 Field Show* page. Please download it if you haven't already taken a hard copy from the band room. Dot books were supposed to be completed TUESDAY. There will be a dot book check on Wednesday at rehearsal.
First fundraiser of the year! Sign up with your teacher to volunteer. Volunteer hours are 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Just a reminder about our Welcome Picnic tomorrow evening from 5-8pm on the front lawn of Platt High School. Please bring either a salad of some kind or dessert to share with others. We are looking forward to all of us spending some time together. :)
Charms has been "fixed" and is now available to log in to so that everyone can update their information. Making sure your information is up to date will be a grade for the first quarter, so please be sure to visit www.charmsoffice.com and login with your Student ID # to add or review all of your information. The Charms website is not quite available for you to log in yet. We are still in the process of closing out last year and opening up the new one. We apologize for this taking longer than we expected, but things should be up and running by the time band camp starts. Thank you for your patience.
Likewise, if you have not joined our Facebook group or followed @plattband on Twitter, you should do this in the very near future. Starting with the first week of school this will be one of our only means of immediate communication. For those that would like their packets earlier than next week, you can try to pick it up in the office if you ask really nicely! See you all soon!
Student Leadership auditions will be held June 4th, 5th & 6th, 2013 for the 2013-2014 school year. This will include both section leaders and drum major auditions. You should be able to find all of the audition information on the Leadership Page under "Students" in the menu above. This is also where students will find the online application form that will need to be submitted by May 24, 2013. After this date, applicants will receive a piece of music that they will prepare to rehearse with the band.
